Dear Son’Spot Family,
It has been a very fruitful season of ministry. We have just completed a daily ministry schedule that included meeting for Bible time, worship, and fellowship twice a day, boardwalk outreach most days, and outreach meals five days a week. There were 150 to 200 people at most meals. Many were drawn to the Lord. Our full time missionaries were a tremendous help and blessing, as were the weekly groups and several local individuals that co-labored with us. The reason for each of these activities was to lift up the name of Jesus, to share the Good News that God loved us so much that He sent Jesus to pay the price for our sin, that we can be forgiven and reconciled to God, that God has a plan for each of us, and that we can walk a life of victory with God. It is a great privilege and so rewarding to see God plant seeds, water seeds, grow the plants, and produce the harvest. Many people were born again during Bible time, outreach meals, and boardwalk outreach. Praise the Lord! To God be all the glory! Thank you for partnering with us.
**Good News Reports ** “I have really enjoyed this week! From boardwalk and meal ministry, to the thought provoking Bible studies, to the meaningful conversations I have had with all of you, my time here has really been a blessing! Thank you so much for your friendship and your Gospel mindset. I can confidently say that I have grown closer to God and more confident in stepping out in faith over the space of this week. I will be praying for your work here. My time here has been wonderful and Lord willing I would love to come again in the future.”
“My friendship with a new believer here has been refreshing. His new life has been a blessing to behold. He came to me and said that he thought another man was ready to give his life to the Lord. He said he wasn’t sure what to say. I met with them both, shared the Gospel and the second fellow said he wanted Christ in his life. We prayed together and he said he wanted Christ to change his life.”
“The Word showed me many issues in my life that I thought I had in control. Through the Bible reading and study times I felt and knew then that I needed to allow the Holy Spirit to lead me in areas not yet conquered by me. I am so thankful for Son’Spot Ministries for all their blessings for everyone. The heart of God, leading of the Holy Spirit, and anointing for the salvation of others, they have imparted to me.”
“God gave me the power of the Holy Spirit to step up and pray for people on the boardwalk. I have overcome my fear because what I do is from the Holy Spirit who directed my path. I also have learned that I am not in control of my life, it is the Holy Spirit and I just need to let go and let God.”
“The Lord used me to help dig the sand sculpture pile. This is something I never thought I’d be able to do! With the pit the Lord rescued me out of, the least I can do is dig a hole for Him, to His glory!”
“This week I got to see and work with people who are the true servants of God. They work tirelessly and truly have the joy of the Lord in their hearts. They are kind and loving and caring despite all of the many personalities that they come into contact with. It was a great learning experience.”
“This week I feel like God has put it in my heart to go and take the things I am learning here and to share it with my friends and classmates back at home. I need to be there for the people around me as a light leading them to Jesus. This week I’ve had the ability to talk to many new people and to evangelize to those on the boardwalk. I need to encourage as many people to read and be in the Word as I have been encouraged here to stay in the Word. I will go out into the world and be a fisher of men as Jesus has called me to be. Thank you guys so much for giving me and my youth group this opportunity!”
“I hate doing the dishes, however I was often stuck doing them this week. It really made me think about the verse in Colossians 3:23 that says whatever you do, do it for the Lord. So even though I don’t like doing them, I still did them without complaining and did them to the best of my ability.”
“God guided me to boldly and gladly preach the Gospel and invite people to dinner and breakfast. I had a conversation with two teenagers who were seeking and I was able to explain to them the good news of Jesus.”
“Throughout this week, the Lord has really been giving me a heart for missions. I had already felt this calling on my heart, but this week has encouraged me to really go deeper into His work and mission. The boardwalk ministries have especially helped me get better at walking up to total strangers and talking to them. All together, God has been working on clarifying my calling to do His work.”
“This week God drew me closer to Him. We were encouraged to read our Bibles more often than I’m used to and I’m truly blessed to have been in the Word so much this week and look forward to continuing fellowship with God and other believers at home.”
“The whole team shows the joy of the Lord and a love for people and for Him, AND for His Word. You always challenge me to live out my faith, to put it into practice. To be a doer of the Word and not just a hearer only. I DO want to memorize passages of scripture so please pray that I could and will do that.”
“Thank you for opening your arms and hearts to us this week. The Lord ministered to me through the love and dedication to His Word that we encountered here. I have spent too much of my life making sure I had the right doctrine and making sure people knew about it. All that gain I count as loss, and count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. He has forgiven me much, and to be given an opportunity to love much alongside you saints is a precious gift.”
“There was an international student who had not heard about the God of the Bible. Because of some challenges and troubles while she was here, she was more open to receive help and to call on the Lord. She said it was hard for her and she does not understand everything but she received Jesus in her heart and wants to know Him more. She promised that she will read the Bible when she arrives home. Please pray for her that she will get to know the Lord as He really is and please pray for protection as she comes from a closed country.”
“Everyday God shows me that I need to read the Word and know Him more. We never know what hard times could come.”
“This couple spoke about their life and current dilemmas. I asked if Jesus was their Lord and Savior. They said no. In that moment, the Spirit led me to look up a declaration verse to go over with them and together we spoke Romans 10:9-11 but replaced the you with I. So the Holy Spirit converted these two people to the Kingdom of God.”
“God has changed many things within me the past week here at Son’Spot through all the experiences serving in the ministry and the fellowship with all my brothers and sisters in Christ. Truly I am grateful for this opportunity to serve. I will cherish these moments in my heart forever and rejoice that God has plans for me in the future.”
“A homeless man addicted to alcohol was saved and delivered the last night of Jesus At The Beach. He has not drank since that night, has attended Bible time everyday, is staying at the local shelter, and started a job. Praise the Lord for God changing him and giving him a new life.”
“God gave me a better, more excellent way to walk in His Word. I will use a different journal or colored index cards and write topics that are meaningful to me that line up with scripture. This will be my own personal collection of specific scriptures. Such as daily declarations of who I am in Christ, the promises of God, His plans for His people, and scriptures to easily find for certain situations. This will help me to have the right Word to declare for the right situation. (Proverbs 15:23)”
We praise the Lord and give him all the glory and honor for these testimonies.
**Ministry Schedule ** Our schedule from Labor Day to Memorial Day is Thursday and Saturday evenings at 7pm, and Sunday mornings at 10am for ministry, Bible, worship, prayer, and fellowship.
Additionally, the outreach dinner ministry is Thursdays at 5pm. Each week food bags (with prayer opportunities) are delivered to various homes.
Our desire is to lift up Jesus and to allow the Holy Spirit to manifest and minister as He desires. It is a wonderful thing to be in the presence of the Lord. To God be the glory for all that He has done.
Thank You
