Dear Son’Spot Family, Praise the Lord! God is in the life changing business. It is our privilege to witness His works each day. In 1 Corinthians 3:7, the Bible says, “The one who plants and the one who waters really do not matter. It is God who matters, because He makes the plant grow, He gives the increase.” At each outreach meal there are 150 to 250 student workers from dozens of different countries. Many have received from the Lord through Bible teaching, fellowship, worship, food outreach, and boardwalk outreach. Several each week have invited Jesus into their heart. Praise the Lord! We give God all the glory. This is our 45th year of ministry, one soul at a time.

We gather everyday (except Wednesday) at 10am for sharing the Word and prayer, then complete work projects, and at 5pm go on the boardwalk for outreach ministry. We gather again at 8pm for Bible, prayer, worship, and fellowship. (Tuesdays are English Club Nights). Additionally, the food outreach ministry includes dinner on Thursdays at 5:30pm, and breakfast on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 7:30am. Each week we also deliver food bags to area homes. We meet on Sunday mornings from 10am to noon. You can listen to some of the worship nights and the Sunday meetings at SonSpot.org .

Our desire at every occasion is to lift up the name of Jesus (John 12:32) and for God to move and minister as HE desires. Zechariah 4:6 says, “Not by might, not by power, but by My Spirit says the Lord”.

Good News Reports From Visiting Ministry Teams “This week at Son’Spot has been such a blessing! God used me in many ways. I got the opportunity to pray over multiple different people and I got to witness the Spirit working in the lives of both me and my team. As much as this trip was about serving others, after this week I feel so spiritually refreshed. The joy of the Lord is so predominant here and it’s contagious.”

“I shared with a lady and what a joy to watch her countenance and body language change overnight!! It was obvious that the Word had done it. ‘My glory and the lifter of my head…’ She knows the Lord has a purpose for her, and a future!”

“The Bible teaching was most encouraging to me. The recall of Scripture from all through the Bible to back up the teaching comes from years of a purposeful walk with Jesus.”

“It is always an honor to serve God in every way I can, it is His will. I have had so many tell me ‘Let Go and Let God’. This is just what I will do! I know He has plans for me and He never fails. I will stay true to His Word and continue to be blessed!”

“Coming to Son’Spot really helped me see that God is just fully loving towards me. I was able to talk to mentors which really helped me to reconnect with God.”

“The Lord Jesus used me to be a vessel (an instrument) to bring salvation to two gentlemen on the boardwalk. Also by God’s grace was able to pass out many Gospel tracts to spread spiritual seed to the lost on the boardwalk.”

“God used me this week to help lead a man to be born again.”

“This week God used me to plant a seed into someone’s heart, and taught me about patience and understanding, along with exposing me to spirit-filled worship and outreach.”

“Working together to serve those in need for food and sharing the Gospel was encouraging. I felt convicted to be more active in sharing my faith. The teaching on the power and primacy of the Word of Christ was helpful and edifying. I was able to talk to several of the ‘seniors’ graduating High School about building their life on the rock by reading the Bible and doing what it says. Thank you for the privilege to participate in this Gospel outreach and loving service to the lost.”

“I’d heard a lot about Son’Spot from various Christian friends in my life. It’s only this week that I had an opportunity to experience the ministry firsthand. I was impressed. What a joy to work together with like-minded believers. We all pulled together despite our differences in temperament, giftings, and nationalities. Together we saw some good things happen: salvations, seeds planted, and relationships forged. I had not done outreach work like this in a while so it was refreshing to engage like this again.”

“Jesus helped me recognize areas of repentance needed in my life and heart. The Son’Spot visit gave opportunity for Jesus to use me and build me in my giftings of preaching and evangelism. God used me to lead about eight people to receive Jesus into their hearts and be born again. Thank you to the Son’Spot and Son’Spot donors for providing a place that Jesus can truly build His kingdom in and through us. I’m a single dad full time to an eight year old daughter. I’m going back home better equipped to continue to raise my daughter in God’s love.”

“What I learned from God is that He is the only way to eternal life.”

“I learned a lot in Bible study to be a caterpillar/butterfly and not a fly.”

“I’ve met students form several countries and spoken to them about their culture and mainly about Jesus. That’s the most inspirational thing that I’ve ever encountered. Thank you God! All glory goes to you!”

“God helped me realize what I can do for others and don’t just be lazy and not do something because I don’t want to, but do it because God wants me to do it.”

“Four young men on the boardwalk never heard the Gospel. I shared the scriptures from Romans and asked them if they were to die would they go to heaven or hell. They said I guess hell. So I asked if they would like to change that and they said yes. I then shared that there was a cost, that they had to give their life to Jesus and if they did not that was fine because it is a serious commitment. They all prayed to commit their lives to Jesus.”

“I met a lot of students this week that are open to the Gospel. Please pray that the seeds that were sown that they will grow for the Kingdom of God.”

“I moved me even deeper into the Word by writing them down, defining words, and cross referencing to other scriptures. I improved my awareness of how important it is to stay vigilant and not let the news get in my head and finally take every thought captive, changing and renewing my mind, and outwardly keeping my behaviors and actions pleasing to God.”

“God used me to bring light to strangers telling people about Jesus and how He has been here for me.”

“Do not care of what others say or think, rather acknowledge only what God says. God’s Word is alive and active. We need the Holy Spirit in everything. We need to read the Word daily. We walk by faith, not by sight. We are light to the world. We are the salt.”

“God has rescued me from addiction and has poured His Spirit which is His power to change me from the self-centered person I was to a God-centered person.”
